The Gochujang Caramel Latte is a new limited-time coffee drink from Korean bakery café chain TOUS les JOURS and oat-milk brand Oatly, blending espresso and Oatly Barista Edition with sweet-and-spicy gochujang caramel syrup, vanilla oat cold foam, and Lotus Biscoff cookie crumbles. It’s available hot or iced at participating U.S. bakery cafés from October 1 through November 30, 2026.
What Is the Gochujang Caramel Latte?
According to the official press release, the drink builds on an earlier iced Gochujang Latte that Oatly created with Brooklyn-based Korean-American artist and DJ Yaeji for a New York pop-up called Café Yaeji. TOUS les JOURS adapted that concept into a caramel-forward version for its national bakery café menu.
- Espresso + Oatly Barista Edition oat milk
- Gochujang caramel syrup (fermented Korean chili paste blended into caramel)
- Vanilla oat cold foam and Lotus Biscoff cookie crumbles
- Available October 1 – November 30, 2026, hot or iced, at participating U.S. locations
“Our Korean heritage shapes how we create and what we bring to our guests,” said Max Gallegos, Chief Marketing Officer of TOUS les JOURS, in the release. “With Oatly, we’re taking a familiar Korean ingredient in an unexpected direction, pairing gochujang with caramel and coffee.”
Select locations (Cerritos, Brea, La Habra, Union St., and Madison Square Park) are offering a limited-edition keychain with purchase, and the brand is running an Instagram sweepstakes through November 15 via @touslesjoursusa.
Does This Affect a Recipe You’re Planning to Make?
If gochujang’s sweet heat has you curious, it’s also the star of our Gochujang Eggs recipe for breakfast, and fans of Biscoff-flavored coffee drinks will recognize the same cookie crumble used in our Biscoff Latte recipe.
Is This Common?
Savory-meets-sweet coffee mashups have become a recurring fall menu strategy, but building a national chain launch directly off a single weekend artist pop-up is a less typical path — most limited-time coffee drinks are developed in-house rather than adapted from a one-off collaboration. The gochujang angle also taps into the wider trend of Korean condiments crossing into mainstream U.S. menus well beyond savory dishes.
Quick Questions
Is it spicy? The release describes it as adding “an unexpected spicy dimension” to the caramel, not a dominant heat — gochujang’s flavor profile is more sweet-savory-umami with mild background heat.
How long is it available? October 1 through November 30, 2026, at participating TOUS les JOURS bakery cafés nationwide; availability varies by location.
