Sockerbit Sprouts Swedish Pick & Mix is rolling out through a new retail partnership announced September 25, 2026. Sockerbit says shoppers can build their own candy mixes at 17 Sprouts stores in California and Florida, while a 12-SKU packaged Sockerbit assortment is scheduled to reach nearly 500 Sprouts locations nationwide in October.
Sockerbit Sprouts Swedish Pick & Mix starts with 17 stores
According to Sockerbit’s September 25 announcement, the in-store Pick & Mix program is launching in 17 Sprouts locations across California and Florida. Shoppers at those stores can choose from 12 candy varieties in the bulk department, including four varieties exclusive to Sprouts.
Sockerbit’s own store locator currently identifies the 17 participating Sprouts locations. They span cities in both states, including Long Beach, Palm Springs and Studio City in California and Sarasota, Melbourne and Coconut Creek in Florida.
A wider packaged-candy rollout is coming in October
The partnership is bigger than the 17-store bulk pilot. Sockerbit says a 12-SKU assortment of packaged candy will arrive at nearly 500 Sprouts stores nationwide in October. The company says the assortment is made without high-fructose corn syrup or Red 40 and uses natural flavors and colors.
The launch also expands Sockerbit’s Dream Series beyond Strawberry Dream. New Banana Dream and Sour Berry Dream are slated for Sprouts bulk departments, while the company says its Mallows are making their grocery debut at Sprouts. A new Sour Peach variety is exclusive to the retailer.
What is Swedish Pick & Mix candy?
Pick & Mix lets shoppers select individual candies from a larger assortment and combine them into a custom mix. Sockerbit says founders Florence Baras and Stefan Ernberg brought the Swedish lördagsgodis, or Saturday-candy, tradition to a U.S. audience when the company opened in New York in 2010.
The Sprouts launch follows other recent U.S. retail activity around Swedish candy. Recipes & Cooking recently covered the Ahlgrens Bilar nationwide Target launch, a separate Swedish candy expansion.
Is This Common?
Pick-and-mix candy itself is not new, and Sockerbit has sold Swedish candy in the United States for years. What is new here is the specific Sprouts partnership: Sockerbit describes the 17-store program as the first Swedish Pick & Mix experience at a national natural grocery retailer, alongside a much broader packaged-candy rollout planned for October.
