Pukka Launches Organic Matcha With Vanilla Chai and Tulsi Lemon Blends

Pukka has launched its first organic matcha range, built around two herbalist-crafted blends, Matcha Vanilla Chai and Matcha Tulsi Lemon, designed to soften matcha’s natural bitterness without added sugar. Announced September 2, 2026, the ceremonial-grade, ceramic ware, shade-grown matcha lands at UK retailers this month in 30g recyclable tins, priced at £14.99 each.

What Pukka Announced

Pukka Herbs, the herbal wellness brand owned by Lipton Teas and Infusions, confirmed the launch in a press release distributed via GlobeNewswire on GlobeNewswire on September 2, 2026. The two blends are:

  • Matcha Vanilla Chai — ceremonial-grade organic matcha blended with vanilla, cinnamon, and ginger.
  • Matcha Tulsi Lemon — matcha blended with lemon myrtle, tulsi, rosemary, spearmint leaf powder, and lemon essential oil.

Both blends use shade-grown, ceremonial-grade organic matcha with no added sugar, and are vegan, kosher, and Fair for Life certified. Each 30g tin is recyclable and reusable, and yields up to 30 servings. Elle Barker, CMO for Pukka UK & Ireland, said matcha is “one of the most exciting growth stories in tea,” and that the brand set out to make it more approachable for people who find plain matcha too bitter to enjoy regularly.

The range launches this September at UK retailers including Amazon, Holland & Barrett, Ocado, and select health food stores, at a suggested retail price of £14.99 per tin. As of this announcement, Pukka has not indicated a U.S. retail rollout, so American shoppers should expect availability to start in the UK market.

Is This Common?

Flavored matcha blends are not new to the market, but a dedicated herbalist-formulated loose-powder matcha line is a first for Pukka specifically, marking its entry into the “premium loose-powder matcha category,” per the brand’s own release. It follows a broader pattern among wellness tea brands adding matcha lines as the ingredient’s popularity has grown well beyond traditional tea drinkers. This is a standard product-line expansion rather than a limited-time or novelty item, so it is expected to remain a permanent part of Pukka’s range rather than a short-lived promotional SKU.
