Ocean Spray Cranberry Cider Juice Drink leads a trio of new fall 2026 launches from Ocean Spray, alongside new Sour Apple Flavored Craisins Dried Cranberries and a limited-edition Cranberry Spread, announced September 23, 2026 as the farmer-owned cooperative’s seasonal push for cranberry over pumpkin spice.
Ocean Spray Cranberry Cider Juice Drink: What Was Announced
Ocean Spray Cranberries, Inc. detailed three new cranberry products in an official press release on PR Newswire:
- Limited-Edition Cranberry Cider Juice Drink — a blend of cranberry and apple flavors with notes of cinnamon, clove and ginger, meant to be enjoyed warm or chilled. Available on Amazon.com, Walmart.com and select Walmart stores starting in October.
- Sour Apple Flavored Craisins Dried Cranberries — the newest addition to Ocean Spray’s Sour lineup, pairing cranberry with bold apple flavor. Available on Amazon.com beginning October 5.
- Limited-Edition Cranberry Spread — inspired by a version already sold in the United Kingdom, bringing a spreadable cranberry format to U.S. shelves.
The release frames the launch as a direct counterpoint to pumpkin spice season, positioning cranberry as a competing “signature fruit” for fall.
Does This Affect a Recipe You’re Planning to Make?
If cranberry is already on your fall menu, our Cranberry Jalapeno Cream Cheese Dip recipe is a natural place to try the new Sour Apple Craisins or the Cranberry Spread once they hit shelves in October.
Is This Common?
Seasonal cranberry line extensions are an annual habit for Ocean Spray, but launching three new formats — a juice drink, a Craisins flavor and a spread — in a single announcement is a larger seasonal push than the brand’s typical single-SKU fall additions. The direct “move over, pumpkin spice” framing is also a more assertive marketing angle than prior years’ cranberry launches.
Quick Questions
When can I buy the new Ocean Spray products?
The Cranberry Cider Juice Drink arrives on Amazon.com, Walmart.com and select Walmart stores in October; the Sour Apple Craisins launch on Amazon.com starting October 5. The press release did not give an exact retail date for the Cranberry Spread.
Is the Cranberry Spread new to the US market?
Ocean Spray says the Cranberry Spread is inspired by a version already sold in the United Kingdom, brought to U.S. shelves for the first time as a limited edition.
Is this a permanent addition to the Ocean Spray lineup?
All three products are described as limited-edition or seasonal in the brand’s announcement, not permanent lineup additions.
