La Colombe Matcha Lattes Launch Nationwide

La Colombe Matcha Lattes launch nationwide this month as a new ready-to-drink lineup made with single-origin Japanese matcha and lactose-free whole milk from Michigan, the Chobani-owned coffee brand announced September 17, 2026. The canned lattes come in three varieties — Everyday, Strawberry, and Vanilla — and each 11oz can carries 65mg of natural caffeine.

La Colombe Matcha Lattes: The Official Announcement

La Colombe, acquired by Chobani in 2023, announced via PR Newswire on September 17, 2026 that it is expanding its ready-to-drink lineup beyond coffee for the first time, into matcha. According to the release, the launch was driven by matcha sales in La Colombe’s own cafés growing 188% since 2023. The lineup includes:

  • Everyday Matcha Latte — a smooth, balanced base recipe
  • Strawberry Matcha Latte
  • Vanilla Matcha Latte

“When La Colombe first put the Draft Latte® in a can, the brand helped reshape the RTD coffee category by making a true coffeehouse quality experience accessible to more people. Now, we’re bringing that same craft and innovation to matcha,” said Niel Sandfort, Chief Innovation Officer at Chobani and La Colombe, in the announcement. The release describes each can as a good source of protein, made with farm-fresh, lactose-free whole milk from Michigan paired with single-origin matcha sourced from Japan.

La Colombe Matcha Lattes will be available online and at major retailers nationwide this month, according to the company. The launch adds to a wave of ready-to-drink functional beverages hitting shelves this year, a pattern also visible in recent launches like Pukka’s organic matcha blends and GORGIE’s Berry Burst energy drink.

Is This Common?

Yes. Coffee brands expanding into ready-to-drink matcha is one of the more predictable moves in the beverage aisle right now, given how fast the category has grown — La Colombe itself cites 188% growth in in-café matcha sales since 2023. What makes this entry notable is the brand’s positioning: La Colombe built its RTD coffee business by canning a café-quality drink rather than a shelf-stable syrup-based one, and it’s applying the same approach here. That growth figure comes directly from the company’s own release and has not been independently verified by this site.
