Paltrow announced the opening on her verified Instagram account, writing: “Finally, somewhere to eat Goop Kitchen that isn’t on your couch.” The restaurant’s location page on One Paseo’s official site lists the address as 3725 Paseo Place, San Diego, CA 92130, and describes the concept as “clean, made-to-order food, without refined sugars, seed oils, or processed additives,” led by a “Michelin-experienced culinary team.”

Paltrow discussed her vision for the space in an interview with Architectural Digest, saying she wanted patrons to feel “at home and comfortable, and that they don’t need to rush.” The restaurant was designed in collaboration with Michael Hsu Architecture.

Menu items reported for the opening include a Field of Greens salad pizza with pesto, garlic confit, mozzarella, parmesan, and arugula, along with a Strawberry-Goji Berry Palmer and a Passion Fruit Lemonade. Goop Kitchen has said it plans additional San Diego-area locations in La Jolla and downtown San Diego.
